Probably are so you gonna need to get a chip programmer to basically confuse the system that the ink is full, This does ruin the print head over time that is the reason why they want you to spend money on the real thing. If these are orginal cartridges then the print head is the issue and will need to be replaced.

Step First - Alignment, if refilled cartiridge there is air bubbles, pull out all inks by seperated injections & Reriffle, 3- paper setting - photo paper glossy, high quality, & get approx 150-200 sheets photo prints (mention help canon error help E5) your cartiridge not short still working after it, when colors invariants use only plain paper standard quality setting. pls vote
1. reseat all of the ink cartridges 2. perform a cleaning cycle using your computers maintenance options
if you are using windows go to the control panel then look for the printers and faxes folder, right click on the icon of your specified printer then left click go to printing preferences.
on printing preferences click on the tab for maintenance then look for head cleaning. do it for 3 to 5 times then test by printing nozzle check
if it does not work the possiblity is that the nozzles might have been clogged with dried inks. try spraying it with wd40 then let it dry for 3 to 4 hrs then print.
take note that doing the head cleaning you can take a considerable amount of your inks
Seems like the ink has dried in the print head or the control circuit to make the black ink print, is not working.
See my other post in the ip3000 section re. cleaning the print head and give that a go. I have got a print head doing that right now. If I can't ink to go thru the head thru either warm water washing - next step is to drop Video Head Cleaning fluid ( Iso Propyl achohol) onto the tiny screens on the print head to see if that will works its way through.
If you get ink coming thru the print head, and it still wont print black, then it may be an electronic problem. Other than cleaning the gold contacts on the back of the print head, there probably is not a lot more you can do other than look for a working secondhand pprinter - I love mine ( when its going)

Could have a corrupt driver. Disconnect
the printer or at least be sure it is turned off. I'd do
both and when the CD software program asks you to connect the printer
to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.
Hope this helps. Bud
Make sure you removed the tape from the ink cartridge.
Press the <Menu> button on the printers operation panel.
Press the left [<] or right [>] arrow buttons to select [MAINTENANCE].
Press the <Set> button.
Press [<] or [>] to select the cleaning setting you want. Select [HEAD CLEANING] for normal print head cleaning. Select [HEAD REFRESHING] for deep print head cleaning.
Note: [HEAD REFRESHING] uses more ink than [HEAD CLEANING], so perform [HEAD REFRESHING] only when necessary.
Press <Set>.
Print a Nozzle Check Pattern and perform at least two Head Refreshing if the pattern is not correct.
If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it. Thanks, Joe
[email protected] I also have a problem with my MP390. Working fine one day and the next I get a Cartridge Jam message plus it clicks steady. How Can I release Cartridge since it is all the way to the right and will not respond to anything I do? Thanks
