This is for the glass top units. well i'm not sure if your problem is with your large or small single burner or the large expandable burner. sounds like you have a bad switch. maybe on the large burner.. some of those switches can be replaced without the whole harness.

The outer ring of the element is most likely broken. You'll need to replace the element.
