Franklin chef Ice machine fim200, ice slide away has broken for the second time. I know it is made of plastic, How do I keep it from breaking the tab off on either side of the Ice slideway where the unit swivels up and down? Do they make a better replacement part? (Ice slideway part #1861701801)

what part are you wanting, water inlet is usually 3/8 npt, this unit can use 1/4 to 3/8 inch line

Try putting a compression coupling in eliminating the valve. Did that on my machine a few months back, have not had any more leaks. Just other issues with thick ice and won't harvest correctly. Any suggestions?
