Speaker will not turn on

I have a Brookstone Outdoor Wireless speaker that is one year old. It was working perfectly fine until one week ago. I tried to turn it on using the ac adapter and it will not turn on. I have tried the adapter in several outlets with no success. I have also tried using batteries, thinking it might be the adapter, with no luck. Can anyone tell me what might be going on? I did not drop the unit, and there was nothing out of the ordinary that happened. Any help would be appreciated.

I have the same problem with my Brookstone Wireless Speaker...it won't turn on and I have only had it for 4 months. Of course they have a one year warranty but I bought it on Ebay and I don't have original recept, so is there a fuse somewhere, or why would this problem be occuring???

I thought Brookstone had quality stuff!!!

I have the same problem but with indoor brookstone wireless speakers.

We were gone for three weeks and when we returned, they didn't work. I have tired everything from changing the wiring, to placing them on a different HDTV.

I even purchased a new transmitter from Brookstone and it still doesn't work. The person I talked to sold me the new transmitter but didn't tell me other people were having the same problem

My brookstone outdoor wireless speaker does not work on just battery power....never has

There are a few potential reasons why your Brookstone outdoor wireless speaker may not be working on battery power. Here are a few things you can try:
  1. Make sure the battery is fully charged. If the battery is not fully charged, it may not be able to power the speaker.
  2. Check the battery connections. Make sure the battery is properly seated in the speaker and that the connections are clean and secure.
  3. Try a different battery. It's possible that the battery you are using is faulty or has simply reached the end of its lifespan.
  4. Check for any visible damage to the speaker or battery. If you see any signs of physical damage, this could be the cause of the issue.
  5. Contact Brookstone for further assistance. If you have tried all of the above steps and the speaker is still not working on battery power, you may need to contact the manufacturer for further assistance.
I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.

Brookstone Wireless Outdoor Speaker with Bose 123 System Problem

AUX usually refers to an INPUT, such as a CD player, etc. No signal comes out of a standard AUX jack, unless it specifically says "Aux speaker output". Instead, look for another speaker output jack, such as remote speaker, B speakers, etc. You may only have one set of speaker output jacks, in which case you would need to connect your wireless speaker to the speaker output jacks along with your main speakers, or buy a little speaker selector switch box to switch between main and wireless speakers. There's usually no harm in connecting more than one speaker set to the same outputs, though it is technically not recommended. In the real world, just don't crank it too loud and you'll be fine. The wireless speaker MIGHT run off of a standard line output also, if the wireless speaker has its own power amplifier.

Kef theatre system kt100

I had this problem a few years back.

It's not a physical problem, it sounds like a bad relay, but a few other things were fixed when I sent it in for repair

It's not a simple fix, the amplifier in the subwoofer will need to be fixed by a knowledgable technician who has access to a schematic
