Olympus Camedia D-560 Zoom camera opens but won't zoom or shoot
I have taken my camera outside to shoot a picture and the camera will open but will not zoom or take a picture. I have changed the batteries twice. It seems to work okay inside but not outside....

Hey Realblond, I would try resetting the camera back to factory specifications. You can do this by selecting mode reset under the shooting mode menu. If this doesn't work I would have it looked at be an authorized service technician. Sincerely, Allan Go Ahead. Use Us.

When I transferred those particular pictures to my laptop for some reason they were partially deleted from the camera which gave the 'picture error' message. Deleting that picture completely got rid of the message.
You are shooting with the exposure bias set too far on the plus side, not familiar with the 550, do You have the user manual? If You look at exif data of posted photos, You will see that many are taken at settings below the midpoint. If You don't have a manual, go to the Olympus website, many manuals are available for download. You may also find the function in the menu based on sunny, cloudy, etc, this is important to set right
