Olympus Camedia D-560 Zoom camera opens but won't zoom or shoot

I think they're after the serial number on the Camedia disk. Looks like a COA (Code of authority) number.

Olympus ship a Camedia disk with new camera's.

If its of any use mine is:-

ZCM1-410E-1016-6943-SA44

I don't use the software, Nero's much better.

If that's not what they're after, our Olympus camera has a small base plate near the battery housing with a number on it.

And if that's still no good, use their "Contact us" links and ask them just exactly what are they after.

You can download using a card reader instead of your camera.

When I transferred those particular pictures to my laptop for some reason they were partially deleted from the camera which gave the 'picture error' message. Deleting that picture completely got rid of the message.

Your memory card is full.

You are shooting with the exposure bias set too far on the plus side, not familiar with the 550, do You have the user manual? If You look at exif data of posted photos, You will see that many are taken at settings below the midpoint. If You don't have a manual, go to the Olympus website, many manuals are available for download. You may also find the function in the menu based on sunny, cloudy, etc, this is important to set right
