Sorry to say, that annoying clicking sound is the thermostat calling for cooling/heat. Whenever the temperature is reached it will "click" off and then "click" back on when needed. Some thermostats are quieter, but all digital thermostats will have that sound. Sorry again and I hope this answers your question!

What does the alert code 80.01 mean on my trane comfort link ll thermostat

This alert popped up on a new system all of 4 months old. I do not have an answer to 80.01 error however with the error my system had completely shut down. I rebooted the thermostat (950 WiFi Com.) which did nothing. I then turned off power to the AC unit at my indoor breaker box for 1 minute and that did reset the AC and allowed the system to come back online.

I have an American Standard unit showing error 91

Had error code 91 on Trane XL19i thermostat. Heat season on duel fuel system. Repair tech said board is bad ($963) and transducer ($1000). Unit is 3 ton 12 years old. Does it make sense to repair or put in a new unit?

My Bosch Fridge makes a loud gurgling sound every twenty five minutes even after freezer fan &emotion were replaced.

It's a normal noise! When the liquid refrigerant becomes less pressurised, usually when the thermostat clicks off,, it still bubbles through the system until the pressure equalises.

My Trane thermostat (TCONT600AF11MAA) is supposed to have 1.5 degrees of heat pump "rest" above the desired setting before turning on the heat pump. The thermometer reading does not change yet...

Friend! All thermostat is calibrated to cut in and cut off at the end of - or + 1 degree end.
Example: If you set 23 degree, it will cut off in 21 degree and cut in @25 degree. So accordingly you set the temp.
Secondly, don't set temp near to your room temp.Minimum difference should be 3 degree. If your room temp 12 degree, set at least 15 degree for heat and if room temp 28, set at least 25 degree for cool.
Hope it's helpful?

I had a 14 seers Trane installed 18 months ago. The thermostat goes blank and the system doesnt come back on until I flip the breaker or disconnect power to the ac.

try replacing the batteries in the thermostat on your wall. probably has 2 AA's this may fix it if not may have bad or old wiring from tstat to main indoor system. when you had a trane installed did they change the air condition components only(likely) or did they put in new furnace, new wiring, new t-stat, a full install?

Trane air handler cycling rapidly

Depending on the age of your Trane unit. The fan relay has a time delay. This is a solid state board on the relay. Most of the time they stick on or off. Check for loose wires. But start with relay.

Trane weathertron thermosatat

OK. Here is a Trane Weathertron BAYSTAT240 thermostat wiring picture. This heat pump w/ electric (emergency) heaters is running right now. Notice the G terminal has green wire, the R terminal has red wire, the white wire is jumpered from W to X2, etc. The black wire loop you see in the center hole is unconnected.

This unit is adjusted by leveling the base - loosen the screw to the left of "R" and the one to the right of "F". Twist the base clockwise to RAISE the indicator. This makes the mercury in the switch turn ON at a different temperature. Remember to tighten those 2 screws again.

You will have to experiment several times to make the unit read exactly right. If the tech installed the base exactly level, the unit would read right (it says here).
