Most common for these problems are the power supply board is dead.That the board,where the power a/c cord plug into it.Tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a refurbush power supply board for the replacement.
It's actually the sub power board on those that goes bad it's a small box above power supply hold a hair dryer on it it will work for a bit after the transformer becomes hot.hold hair dryer above the yellow transformer unplug tv hold power button 1 min with tv unplugged plug in and try if it works it's the sub power supply transformer. As soon as it cools it will turn off and won't come back on again until you reheat with hairdryer.
