Three
Digit Code Method
1
Turn on the device you would like the remote control to
operate,
either manually or with your original remote
control.
2
Use the three digit Set-Up Code numbers for your
device
that I posted above.
3
Press the corresponding Device Button (TV, VCR, SAT,
CBL,
AUD, CD, DVD, or AUX) and the MUTE button
on
the remote control simultaneously. SET will appear
in
the LCD.
8
Example:
To set-up the remote to operate a TV, press the
TV Device Button and the Mute button,
simultaneously.
Note:
SET appears in the LCD for 20 seconds to indicate that
the
remote control is ready to be programmed. The following
steps
must be entered while SET appears in the LCD.
4
Point the remote control toward the device that was
turned
on in Step 1 and press in the first three-digit Set-
Up
Code number for that device using the number buttons
(0-9)
on the remote control. SET followed by the number
will
appear in the LCD.
Your
device will turn off when the correct Set-Up Code
number
has been selected. If the device does not turn
off,
press in the next Set-Up Code number from the listing.
Continue
to select Set-Up Code numbers until your
device
turns off, before you proceed to Step 5.
Note:
If you have tried all of the three digit Set-Up Code
numbers
listed for your device and it still did not turn off, please
proceed
to the Auto Search Method on page (10) to
program
your remote control.
5
Once your device turns off, press the Device Button
selected
in Step 3 once again to store the Set-Up Code
number.
PASS will flash in the LCD.
6
Test the remote control for your device. Try the POWER,
CHANNEL
UP AND DOWN, VOLUME UP AND DOWN
buttons,
etc. If any of the buttons do not perform as they
should,
please repeat the set-up from Step 1 using the
next Set-Up
Code number for your device.
Note:
Some audio/video devices have separate buttons for
POWER
ON and POWER OFF. To operate these devices on
the
remote, press the corresponding DEVICE Button to turn the
equipment
ON and press the POWER button to turn the
equipment
OFF.
7
Please repeat the above steps to program the remote
control for each of your other devices.

May i know the type of remote or the modelof your universal remote..?
thank you
Heres a few instructions how to programmed your remote..Test your remote control. To find out whether your remote control can operate the component without programming, turn on the component such as a VCR and press the corresponding MODE button (VCR) on the remote control, while illuminating on the selected component. Test the POWER button to see if the component responds properly. If not, the remote requires programming to operate the device.
Turn on the component to be programmed, then press the corresponding MODE button on the remote control.
Press the MENU and MUTE buttons simultaneously for 2 seconds, the button selected component lights on the remote control. If you don't press any button for 20 seconds, the button selected component will turn off on the remote control. At a moment, you have to repeat from step 2.
Enter a code number using the number buttons on the remote. When pressing the button, the light is blinked at a time. Programming code numbers for the corresponding component can be found on the following pages. Again, if the code is correct, the device will turn off.
Press the MENU button to store the code. After blinking twice, this code is stored.
Try 001 as the PCode.Test the remote control functions to see if the component responds properly. If not, repeat from step 2.
Thanks..

What is the maker and model of your universal remote?
The standard code for Proton TVs in "One For All" remotes is TV/0031, but your particular remote may differ.
These are the possible codes for your television on the SL-9000:
004 058 131 143 171 173 193
These can be found on page 45 of your owner's manual.
If you do not have manual, you can download it here.
You can also "teach" this remote to transmit certain signals from other remotes, using the technique outlined on page 13.
Good Luck!
