I have replaced le fusing cleaning WEB but the error code E005 is still displayed when I switch on the copier CANON ir400. What can I do to reset the error code. Thanks

A e005 means that the cleaning web needs to be replaced and you needed to reset the web counter in service mode.... Good Luck

You need to replaced the fuser cleaning web and rest the web counter.

The error message means that the Fuser web has a problem. This is the part that cleans the upper fuser roller on the copier. It's located inside the left door of the copier and more than likely requires a copier technician to replace it. Fuser webs(belts) gradually get consumed after about 100,000 prints. The other possibility is that you may have had a brown-out or some other kind of power fluctuation in your area and the error just needs to be reset in service mode, but I'd check the first solution 1st, the part is cheap $25-$50.

Switch power off and on the machine

This is a fuser cleaning web ( FY1-1046-000 ) needs to be replaced error. After replacement of web you will have to go into service mode and reset the web counter to all zeros. Press additional function, then 2 & 8 at the same time, then additional functions again. At top and far right select counter, then MISC, then fix web, then "C" on keypad. Count should then be all zeros. Press reset key once and select function, CLEAR, ERR, then OK. Turn off copier and all should be well. Good luck.

Been a while ago on the Canon but if memory serves me Error E005 means the cleaning web has run out. Needs replacing and resetting (replace then code 28 i think).

if your machine is giving E-005 that means your fixing assembly (fuser cleaning web is not detecting) is bad.

go in service mode by pressing additional fuction + 2 & 8 + again press addtional function

If you find that the E005 code won't reset after replacing the Web, and clearing both web counters in service mode, <COPIER>COUNTER>MISC>FIX-WEB> and <COPIER>COUNTER>DRBL-1>FIX-WEB> perform a Error Clear in service mode <COPIER>FUNCTION>CLEAR>ERR>.
