How do i hook up a pioneer bp-780 equalizer in my car?

SOURCE: I have a SX838 Pioneer Receiver. How do I hook up

The EQ should be connected between the pre-out and the Amp-in.

The pre-out goes to the EQ input.

SOURCE: i cant seem to hook

tape out from reciever to line in on the eq --then line out from the eq to tape in on the reciever --whenever the tape monitor will be used on the reciever the sound will then be equalized
