Do the self check when power light goes off.
On front of set press and hold both the menu and input buttons for 5 seconds or longer and release both buttons.
Power light will blink a error code like: 2 blinks, 2 blinks, a pause and repeat about 4 more times.
Let me know what error code you find and I will tell you what it means.

Unplug set for a few minutes. Plug back in and turn on, green light goes on then goes off--do the self check, it will not repeat error code more than about 5 times, let me know error code found.
You have to watch closely.

what does the error code 2 blinks, 2 blinks mean? My Mitsubishi was working just fine, never any problems, and my son turned on his PS3 and all of a sudden it turned off. I did the test and it gave me the 2 blinks
