The mother board has AGP 8x slot that the video card has but when the system boots the video card stops working.

If you have a built in video on mother board there is a setting in its setup hit delete at beggining right at startup for bios

you need to disable your built in video either by jumpers by manufactures book on jumper settings or go into bios at begining and see if there a setting to shut off on board video
these 2 are having conflicts with each other and you will only be able to see dos boot area with both these cards

and yes it is compatible as long the buses and slots have same configurations

Asrock dual hcannel audio driver for win 7

Try the C-Media audio driver ver:Integrate003 Windows XP driver at the page for the P4i65G at the 24765074-fqlq3ztgu2xcc4onlckxgxw3-4-0.pngwebsite:
ASRock P4i65G

Sometimes the drivers for Windows XP works on Windows 7, but not all the time. If it doesn't try this:
Once downloaded, Right click on the ZIP file and choose Extract All...
Once extracted, Right click on the Setup file and choose 'Troubleshoot Compatibility'.
Your driver should then load in Compatibility Mode.

No video with or without a new video card on an asrock p4i65gv motherboard

So you can no onboard video when using the onboard connection right? and no video using an external video card also right? In this case, the promblem lay with the motherboard/ram/cpu and not with your video card. Try resetting the bios via taking out your cmos battery or shorting the cmos pin to see if a miracle would happen and the system would post. If not and if you have another board with compatible hardware, then you can try testing out the cpu, the rams. If you hear beeps when starting up the system, try to take note of it and look up on the internet via what bios make it is, and decode the beep error for what is wrong. If you don't her any beep, the other way only to know what is wrong is having another compatible board to test your cpu/ram, or make sure the ram and cpu you are using is supported by the asrock motherboard. If you do have another board to test your cpu/ram and even the video card, and they work, then your motherboard is scrap and needs to be replaced.

Bought agp video card x1550 256mb ddr 2 by visonek not working freezes at bio

Hi skinnypim210,

Did you buy the visontek x1550 256 ddr 2 agp 8 x video card your self or is it attached already in the mother board you bought? Coz if you buy the original one, it should be mother board only.
Here are my analysis to your problem:
1. The visontek video card which is agp is not possible to be compatible to *********** board. If you just key in your product online the compatible video card is really PCI video cards. it is really dam video card for now. But may be you can re sell it for those motherboard owners that has agp slots.
2. The speed of the video cards are the same but we are talking here of compatibilities.

I hope you're enlighted. just rate my solution so that I will know if you have solved the problem.

Thank you,

I HAVE A ASROCK P4i65G MOTHERBOARD

Hello d0tc0m:

First make sure you have disconnected everything from the mother board...all cards removed, unplug anything on the board such as external fans and so on.
(what can happen is if something is shorted, your system will not start).
Test it then for a short time, if the same thing, then proceed.

A couple things you may consider.
Test the power supply with another board.
Use another power supply.
What you would be doing is by trial and error and elimination.
thanks, take care.
