I have a lg top freezer, model GR-s462GC

Hi my freezer is working fine, the frige seems to work for a few days then stops working , we have replaced the fan, and the main circuit board, but it still seems to keep doing it, also the little led lights that come on and change when you ajust the interal frige controll (touch controll) seems to seize up when the frige stops keeping cold, freezer still keeps on working fine.
Thanks guys

I'm having the exact same problem. When I unplug/plug back in, the fridge will cool for awhile, then go off. The lights that indicate the cooling settings (1-7) will come on for a little bit, then go off. I noticed the same setting for the freezer temp will come on, but for 2 numbers instead of just the setting I pick.

Can I get the fuser and replace it myself? Are there any instructions for doing this? Thanks for the help!

The problem is most likely a thermal fuse, located in the freezer on the evaporator, has blown. The lights on are indicating an error code. If you unplug the unit and then replug it, it will run until it hits the defrost cycle. This will at least keep your food cold until you can get service.

Hotpoint FFA71 fridge and freezer suddenly stopped working

Sounds as though the compressor has stopped working. It feeds both compartments with control from a printed circuit above the top door.Where all your red lights are ablaze! (This can be replaced by removing the 2 screws and "clicking" out the small panel) Check that the compressor is running at the bottom rear of the fridge/freezer before anything else.

I have an LG GR-409GUPA Frige Freezer which has recently started being very noisy, not all the time, but periodically when the motor kicks in. Sometimes it stops if you open the freezer door, and sometimes...

Weak motor spring lets motor hit shell on startup due to torque. experiment with Shimming the motor mounts to reduce/eliminate noise.

Has no effect on motor performance/longevity.

Temperature in freezer doesn't come down below freezing point

Searching on line, I noticed some similar problems addressed by technicians and customers. But their diagnosis was consistent: call the repair guy. They believed that the solution to the kind of problem I had was between "dump it" or "pay a big lump of dough to repair. So we replaced the old one.

My frige has two handles, and the bottom handle for the frige was loose and came of, how can i get a new handle for my frige. Its a LG Model GR-642QVP Serial No REFER BAR CODE LABEL A.3850JZ0373A

Sounds like you have a UK model LG refrigerator. Go to www.lge.com and from there you can select your region and get the phone numbers to call the UK LG Parts Dept. to purchase a new handle. Hope this helps.

P.S. I work for LG!

LG BOTTOM FREEZER FRIGE

It's all in the controls. There is a "flapper" or door between the freezer compartment and the fresh food compartment. Other than the fan not operating, there is nothing else that would affect the temperature. The higher you set your freezer, the warmer the fresh food compartment will be. As long as your freezer is working, and you can hear the fan turn on, it's a control issue.
