Unable to transfer media files form computer to phone

I just bought a new phone two days ago- a Sony Ericsson Walkman W810i. Yesterday I discovered how to transfer media files using the USB cord given. No problems occurred.

Today, my boyfriend was playing around with me phone and probably reset it, as all the photos and songs I transfered were gone. When I went back home to re-send the media files, it seems that my computer does not recognize the removable disk.

I am at loss with what to do and would appreciate any help .

But have you ever worried that what if unexpected accidents such as mistaken deletion or virus infection lead to the whole data loss? What if the increasing number of media files (photos, videos, music) gradually erode the storage space of your Android device, until to none? Are you willing to delete the old memories to save new or directly give up saving new files? And that's why you need to transfer media files from Android phones to computer and save them as a backup. Then you absolutely can't miss this Coolmuster Android Backup Assistant, which allows you to easily and quickly back up media files from Android phones to computer, regardless of the file quantity. More importantly, this software offers you more than this. You can also use it to backup other files like contacts, messages which can't be easily accessed without a professional third-party tool.

Sony ericsson w350 cell phone

You don't need the software to transfer music. I have the software but don't bother using it as it takes much longer to transfer files this way.

Just connect my your 350i to your computer using the USB cable. On your phone select "file transfer". Now, go to "My computer" and after 30 seconds your phone should appear as a removable drive, and you can drag & drop (or copy and paste files) into the music folder therein.

While in "file transfer" mode you cannot make or receive calls or texts, so be sure to disconnect as soon as your file transfer is complete. To do so, in my computer, right click the icon for your phone and select "eject".

Have a new sony ericsson w350 cell phone, would like to download Media Manager to transfer music from computer to phone.

go to sony ericsson site and download media mgr
BUT your phone needs a memory card. I transferred one song and I cannot get it to work again even with memory card. My daughter said to put card into a adapter which I have and use a card reader or something like that you buy at radio shack. So you transfer music to the memory card via the cable and reader thingy, then put the card back into the phone. Simple? heck no. The phone propaganda makes it sound like you hook the phone to your computer with its USB, downl media mgr and just drag and drop. Let me know if this fantasy comes true for any of you!

You need to take it back to AT&T if you bought it less than 30 days ago. If its been over 30 days but less a year Sony Ericsson will cover the charges to fix it, you'll just have to mail it in to the repair center.
