PUK stands for Personal Unblocking Key. This is a uniqueeight-digit code specific to your SIM card. This is required when the PINnumber to unlock your mobile phone is entered incorrectly 3 times. You are thengiven 10 attempts to enter your PUK code. If an incorrect PUK code is enteredafter the 10th attempt, you will block your SIM card permanently and willrequire a new SIM card from your mobile phone provider.

You will need to call your customer service, they are the only one that can provide you with the puk for your mobile device. Its free of charge. Just call them and say i need my cell phone puk.

Normally, it is the service provider that issues out a PUK number to all their mobile subscribers.

Contact the service provider near you.

Kindly contact your telephone operator (call TATA DOCOMO) for the PUK code .

It is permanently blocked and you will have to purchase a new sim card. They only allow you to enter the code a few times before it is blocked in case someone got a hold of your phone and tried to use it.... A new card is about $20--- thats the only way to fix it
