1) test the timer probably faulty,tight connection wires see the diagram how to test,and see the diagram in line black, how the contacts from timer control everthing in the washer. 2) problem of cold water, is the cold water turn on? consult your owner manual for to see if acting abnormally 3) check the selector is o.k God bless you
I removed back from washer and found wire broke .I also found packet with all codes and wire diagram. Repaired wire and washer works fine. I have had this washer for 2 years and the back has never been removed until this time. I think when washer was assembled wire was pinched and during all the washing in 2 years vibration finally finished breaking wire. All tech. from Maytag can't or want tell you anything about their machines. All they want to do is swap out parts and charge a arm and leg for thei service. You are wasting your time to even call Maytag for tech. support. They don't know anything about codes or anything else. If all applinces go out, refg.,dryer.washer.mico.,range, it want be replaced with another maytag.
Neil, I need to know if the motor came with a wiring diagram when it was purchased or did it just come by itself. You may have to learn how to read the wiring diagram that is stored inside the control panel.
moste likely it is a 10A fuse which is blown
