Hi, well its 120 volts a/c, 60hz, and you would have to look on the data plate to see what the total amperage it draws. If you are wanting to run it off of batteries, it can be done, You would need to figure out how many dc batteries it would take to do this and I have seen mobile homes have 240 volts a/c to there home running on batteries alone. You would need a rectifier to change dc to ac voltage. I would recommend making some calls on how to figure this out as far as what all you need to do this as I could not walk you through this, only if I were there. Call an electrical wholesale parts house and tell them what you want. They will be able to supply the dc rectifier to change dc to ac and they would be able to tell you where to go to get the right batteries and how to run them together to produce 120 volts ac voltage. much better to call technician to install that if you confusing to install then observe it next time you can do it on your self

your defrost elements are not working or the water inlet for the evaporator tray is clogged. That alarm is to let you know something else has triggered it. This could be s imple DYI solution or require a service call. let me know if you are up for the DYI.

You can take the batteries out that power the alarm system. They are located through a small access panel/door front bottom right of the unit. If you bought the unit at Sears, you should call 1-800-4MYHOME and ask a technician if a replacement manual is available, or if they can direct you to a website for it.
