Epson Stylus Photo RX620 shows an error..."Service required,parts inside your printer are at the end of their service life.See your printers documentation" The printer is unable to be used and it is only 3 years old. I consider this to be a lack of consumer care and a flagrant ignorance of Fair Trading.

    Found suggestion: with printer turned off. hold down B&W button and stop button and then turn printer on. It's worked so far for me

    I did this thing with holding down the buttons and I was able to continue to use the printer for several days. Now it's not having any effect. Any other ideas. Epson RX425.

Epson programmed their printer to monitor the waste ink counter and your printer has reached the maximum value allowed, you have to reset your printer to clear the waste ink counter.

To reset the counter, download re-setter program here, install and follow the instruction in the web site.

Service repair printer
I had this problem also. What i did was hold down the 'stop' and the 'B&W' buttons while powering up. this erased the error message and now I am up and running fine again.
