My eltron ip2844 wont print dark enough. I went into setting and turned the burn darkness to 15, but still not dark? Help!!

This may be due to your thermal paper.
This printer doesn't deliver enough heat to your paper or you have a problem with the head pressure.
Press on the bloc while printing to see if it's this reason?
You may also have a mis-alignement of the thermal head.
Try also to change the print speed?

Not printing

If you send a format and the label advances but does not print, then it is possible that the darkness setting is not high enough for the label/ribbon combination. Depending on what software / printer driver you are using, many times the darkness setting in the software or driver will override what is in the printer. This makes it possible to have the test print work just fine but no printing when a label format is sent the printer.

If you are sending a format and nothing at all happens at the printer, then that is a communication issue. How are you connecting the PC to the printer ?

Zebra Z4MPlus not printing dark enough

In your label software there should be a setting option for print darkness (I assume it adjusts the head temperature) In ours (bartender) you can get to it when you select 'print' and a window appears with a 'documents properties' button. Click on this and select options and a darkness bar appears which you can adjust. You may also need to slow the label print speed if the darkness adjustment is not enough. I suspect it isn't in the printers best interest to run the print head at maximum darkness/heat so a sensible balance of darkness and print speed is best.
Another, less likely, possibility is an incompatability between the label material or surface finish, and the ribbon type. We did have a problem once whem Homebase changed their price label design and we had to test a load of other ribbon types until we got one that did the job. A chat with the label or ribbon supplier is always usefull, they sent us several sample bits to test.

Hp psc 1210xi- the black ink cartridge appears to be out- i have a good color cartridge-how do I get the error off of my printer and print with my color cartridge?

  1. Take out the black cartridge once you've determined that you are completely out of black ink. You'll have to rely on the dark hues from the color cartridge to print in black.
  2. Adjust the printer software settings. Once you take out the black cartridge, your printer's software will typically warn you that you are missing a cartridge. Follow the instructions for your printer to allow the printer to print without the black cartridge. Then set the printer to print in black and white, not color. This overrides the black cartridge and allows the printer to access the dark hues of the color cartridge.
  3. Print a test page to ensure that your printer now prints black using the color cartridge.
  4. Print your documents. Bear in mind that your documents may not appear as black as normal. Still, they should be dark enough to pass for black, depending on how much color ink you have and the strength grade of the ink.

My hp 1200 printer is not printing dark enough. this problem just started/ I can barely read the print. MY hp 1200 printer is not printing dark enough I installed a new toner cartage but it still does the...

If you have installed the toner cartridge correctly then it is a hardware problem called the Fuser and is the most common problem with printers...the fuser is a part of the printer which actually melts the toner onto the paper. The fuser has to get up to a high enough temperature to be able to melt the toner, if it is malfunctioning then it cannot give you a dark print. You may search google for Fuser information: Recommendation is change out fuser to repair problem. Pls rate this solution.

Not dark enough

If you use a refilled cartridge all print quality problems should go back to the supplier of the ink.

Lexmark does not now and never has authorized refilled cartridges on their products for this exact reason.

Lexmark cannot guarantee the quality of the ink.
