First check your router or your modem if the LAN connection led is blinking, if not, there is a problem with either the cable or the modem, isolate the problem. if its the cable then change the cable, if its the modem then you should know what to do. then if both are good, uninstall the driver of the network adapter, through the device manager and reboot your PC. hope that helps
No PC stated. why post lacking such KEY FACTS?
no OS stated windows what? do not run XP ok if is.
does device manager shows the ethernet ok ?
connected with cat5/6 cable to your router
does the router connect other PCs via this cable ok?
try a 2nd cable, try all router ports ethernet.
what card is it, many do not work now, like old 3COM cards.
a card means and PCI-express card, and not usb Gongle.
I can't see your PC so, answering is very hard.
the cable is not seated correct on both ends.
The router is dead.
on old PCs we must force feed the driver, after all
plug and play is dead, with dead ethernet port,
so that is what must be done. (lacking wifi)
Here are several fixes you should try:
1) Reboot your computer
2) Check your network cable and router
3) Update your network adapter driver
4) Change the network adapter's Duplex mode
Plz try by reinstalling the ethernet driver, if the problem is not solved then check with a working lan cable.if your ethernet card is working with another lan cable then your ethernet card is faulty other wise your cable is faulty.
1. Video card failure.
2. Bad connection between video cable and LCD screen.
3. Bad LCD screen.
4. Faulty video cable.
Possible troubleshooting steps and repair solution:
1. First of all, test the laptop video output on the external monitor. If you see same flashing lines running through the image on the external monitor, you have a problem with the video card. If flashing lines appear only on the laptop screen, the failure is not related to the video card.
2. Just in case, try re-seating the video cable connectors on the motherboard/video card and maybe the back of the LCD screen. It' s not likely but possible that connection is loose and reconnecting the cable will fix the flashing lines.
3. If re-seating the cable connectors doesn't help, most likely you have a faulty LCD screen. The LCD screen has to be replaced.
4. If replacing the screen doesn't help, try replacing the video cable. It's very unlikely that this problem is related to the video cable but there is a slight possibility of that.
Test all leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions IDE,SATA
the leads from your "((motherboard to your hard drive))" make sure they have a secure connection and are not faulty or just replace them they might be faulty:
make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure connections and are not faulty even the electrical extensions or just replace them they could be faulty a computer needs its connections to continue its cycle and have an end so any faulty leads will end up with a computer error If your computer came with a motherboard disc the drivers could be on it or you might have a dirty graphics card remove the graphics card and clean the socket
hope this helps
