Like all non-specialist, non-collectable 35mm bodies, yours is almost worthless, sorry.

There is usually some demand for K-mount models like yours, but the prices are still very low (no more than £10) as a potential purchaser is likely going to need to get the foam light seals replaced, new batteries and will need to spend money on running a few test rolls of film and processing in order to check that the camera still exposes correctly. Although the light seals can wait until after testing, the film, processing and batteries are all a gamble if the camera is no longer functioning correctly. For all these reasons, cameras like yours are often offered free on FreeCycle/Freegle.

If you can prove that your camera has new batteries, light seals and has recently been serviced then it's worth up to around £40 maximum for the body only. US prices will be about 30% lower.

Screen reads ERR CF, I think I can see a broken card reader pin broke off. Camera purchased 9/2007. Worth fixing or option of up grade.

This was a $1500 camera with the kit lens. It's certainly worth fixing if you still love it. If you secretly want a brand new camera, then "I would throw out this piece of junk";) Or, get the new camera and get this one fixed for a back-up.

The monitor will not come on and there is a periodic klicking sound coming from within. Worth fixing?

In my opinion, it won't be worth fixing, which is to say it will cost more than it is worth. You can buy a much higher spec camera than this one very cheaply now. It is always hard to abandon an item that once cost a lot of money, but you have to compare the cost of repair to today's camera prices, not to what you once paid. Used examples of this camera are selling for $40 on Amazon, if you really like the camera and want to replace it.

My DSC f828 sony camera's lens is loose. Sony says it is not worth repairing. Surely there must be a way to fix this ? thanks

I'm not sure what you mean by "loose". Does it still take good pictures? If not, then Sony is correct...the camera was introduced in 2003 and the cost of repair would far exceed the camera's worth.

My sony cybershot fell off my hands twice or thrice and it broke the lcd how can i get it repaired?

Unfortunetly that will be classified as user abuse. So you won;t get it fixed under warrenty. This is one of those things that the repair can be worth a new replacement camera. If you can do the repair, it is a matter of a few screws and one cable connector. The lcd screens can be found on ebay and other places. If you can't do this then by the time you add up parts and labor yo more than paid for a new camera. Unfortunetly the price of cameras is low enough that while it is definitly repairable its just not worth doing on a low or mid range camera. Sometimes its not worth doing on a high end on in some cases. So best advice is to call Sony and see if hey have a flat repair rate, call around to a few camera shops and see what they would charge. Then go shopping and see what a new camaera is worth. Pretty sure the new one will be cheaper.

I dropped into a lake and have let it dry out for 2 weeks..worth repairing?

It may or may nor be worth your while or your $$ to fix, but take it to a local camera shop (NOT the camera department in a chain store) and get an estimate. The cost of repair may approach the cost of a new camera, but if you have a bunch of accessories it may be worth the repair. The camera shop may also offer you a trade-in on a new camera.

Broke LCD screen on Fuji Finepix camera

It's likely the repair will be more than the camera is worth. It may be worth taking it to a photographic store to see if they can fix it.
