WONT PLAY MY COPIED DVDS

anyone has a working solution? I have the same model and I have heaps of DVDs from Europe that do not play...

why the DVD wont play might be for different reasons... 2 broad category software / hardware 0.I ll assume its a drive that can play cds and dvds 1.software- u must have a problem with the drivers. Drivers tell computer's brain how to connect to each of its organs(parts like monitor keyboard DVD drive etc) if this is missing its like ur brain doesnt know how to move ur right hand...u ll need to reinstall the drivers then... u ll get the drivers from the website for the laptop Hardware 2. next try using a lens cleaner for ur drive it usually is an air can and a disc... try that ... 3. If still the problem hasnt been solved... the trouble maybe with the drive physically which means u d have to replace the DVDdrive...

Please make sure the DVD;s arnt copies as the xbox 360 wont play copied dvd's, hope this helped

were you able to play copied dvd's on this unit ? if yes then check setting on the dvd menu for things like DVD REGION and DVD playback speed and types of DVD playable, this is quite likely as i ha this problem on a pioneer model previously.

do those copied dvds no longer play on the same unit ? and you have tried them again on another unit or dvd player ?

rather i suspect problems with the DVD burn itself and its compatibility with the dvd player you are palying them on now (asuming settings in DVD enu are correct as loosely outlined above in point 1)

it may be that if this is a new dvd player than the one you played them on before, the dvd's may have to be closed in a certain way using your burning software so that they are playable on standard dvd players.
please also check that region is not an issue and that the recording speed of the dvd (the rip speed) is not too high or too low for your unit, as this data is stored on the written dvd and is responsible for the quality of the palyback data.

I have a panasonic DMR-EZ45V which only plays region 2, but some dvds i want are on only on region 1, can it be changed to play both regions?

You have what is called in the business, a latency error. You have copied this phenomenom onto your new discs. Recommend using Cubase or other ASIO device to copy...accordianman

hey mate, if its to play copied cds or dvds in the ps1 or 2 u need either to have the playstation chipped or you can get boot cds that you put in first then put the backed up copy in to play. wont work without it.. All the best John

i had this problem for copied dvds and cds and badley scratched ones when renting. never had the problem with genuine products. it seems to be able to dectect snide dvds but my 20 quid jobby in the bedroom will play them all !!!!!!
