The coby 7008 will play music perfectly-When I put in dvd it will read the widescreen producer credits and then goes to black. it will not read fullscreen at all but an exercise video it reads perfectly. i have tried all of the settings on the COB and cannot resolve this issue. There is no problem with the audi or picture when it sdeos read the disc. it just doesn't read the movies and the producer credits are not why i purchased this-

The gas flow jets need cleaned

Coby dvd plays background music and all previews( music and voices ) but the actual movie we cannot hear voices only back voices and music can be heard.

do you see the laser light come on when the disk spins if not it has probably lost power or failed, if so sometimes the laser head gets moved to close to the drive mechanism and the motor cant pull it out. i have found several of these that had this problem.
