I have a Nokia 6288 and everytime when someone calls me and I miss their call it always displays No number. I've tried the same mobile calling me to another mobile and the other mobiles seems to be able to detect the caller number and my nokia always displays No Number. I've tried restoring factory settings but that doesn't seem to help. I was just wondering if there is an option to change this thanks.

Just dial *67 before the phone number on your cell phone. This code is the universal command to deactivate caller ID.
For example, placing a blocked call would look like*67 555 555 5555 (without the spaces). On the receiving end, caller ID will usually display "private number" because it has been blocked.
Though you won't hear or see a confirmation of a successful caller ID block, it will work.
Telephone settings Select Menu > Tools > Settings > Phone. Select from the following: • Call — Define general call settings.
Call settings To display your phone number to the person you are calling, select Call > Send my caller ID > Yes. To let the network determine whether your caller ID is sent, select Set by network.
The caller is using private number. If you wanna know who's calling you, turn off your phone. If the caller always call you all the time, you'll be lucky. Because there will voice message received from the operator and you are able to know the number who's calling you.
You can do that also by typing "#31#(destination no.)" then call.

if some one called and u missed it when the screen shows one missed call it should show the number if not it was private u can also go in to call log and go to dialled calls.recived calls.and missed calls and will show u the numbers
