The wifi on my phone is not working. It picks up signal but does not connect to any wifi's. I see avaliable in the list but when I connect, after 30 seconds or so, it says unavaliable. I know wifi is working because my laptop and other computer's are picking up wifi signals and I get wireless internet on there.
To post an update, I am getting wifi at the bookstore. So it seems like there is an incompatibility with zoom dsl modem and mda. Because wifi is working everywhere else expect home. At home wifi is working on all other devices except mda.To post an update, I am getting wifi at the bookstore. So it seems like there is an incompatibility with zoom dsl modem and mda. Expecting your PC (having no inbuilt/internally installed WiFi adapter) to pick up tethering/hotspot WiFi signal (from your phone) without a WiFi adapter attached/connected into your PC's USB port is the same as expecting your PC's low battery to charge to full capacity when the power cable is not connected to the power supply point.
Get WiFi adapter connected to your PC first and then attempt to connect to your phone's wifi tether/hotspot
Hello piscus567, What you are having seems to a common issue with the Nokia C3. I had one and I had the same issue when I first got it. Unfortunately I had to keep trying several times before it connected. But when I finally got it to work, I use the same pattern when trying to connect. First off make sure you are trying to connect with wifi. At the home screen, click down and scroll through until you get WLAN and select it. Go to avaliable WLAN and find the network you want to connect to. Make sure the signal is strong. Once you click it, enter the password and it should say you are connected. Exit back out to the home screen. Go to menu and go to internet. Click on Home, and it usually it ask's search WLAN. So I go through the same process as mentioned earlier. Connect to your wifi network. Once connected try reloading again. Hopefully this should work. Unfortunately you will have to keep trying over and over if it does not work. It will work, you just got to be patient. Good luck.

are you talking about WIFI signal or phone signal?
if you have the router set up that means it is a wifi signal. u can also get an ethernet cable (cat6 or 7 preferably) and plug from computer directly to router.
how was the original Grande Communications wired? or was it WIFI?
how is the ATT connected? wired or WIFI?
it may be finding it but not showing the passcode screen to enter your wep key. tap the wifi settings and set you network information and the wep network key which is located on your router. If you put any other code in your wifi won;t connect.
Check wheather its disabled.and then Scan for the wireless network again and try connecting.make sure thatyour typing correct password if its security enabled network.
You do not need wifi to transfer from your computer but if you want to turn the wifi on all you need to do is goto settings then wifi and make sure your wifi is turned on
If you want to use wifi only when your at home you can go in and manually disable the cellular data so the internet will only be wifi based. Probably saving you MB's and data cost.
Go to Settings, General, Network, then simply turn off the Cellular Data. Then it won't connect anymore to the cell data and rely only on wifi when your connected to it.
And simple follow the same steps and revers the process when your out on the go.
