The fault code indicates a draining problem and the display can be cleared by pressing the Pause/Cancel button twice. Since the pump filter has been cleaned and the problem is not resolved, the problem is either a clogged/kinked drain hose, the pressure switch is stuck in the full position, or the pump itself is not working.

The pressure switch is stuck in the full position if the machine is completely drained when the error code flashes. It indicates that the pump is working and the drain hose is clear. Replace the pressure switch and it should address the problem. Remove the screws attaching the top panel to the rear of the machine then slide the panel rearward and off the cabinet.

Either drain hose is clogged/kinked or the pump is not working if the machine is still full of water when the error code flashes. Make sure the drain hose is free from clogs and kinks and the pump impeller is not stuck. Remove the pump filter then turn the pump impeller with your finger to determine whether it is stuck or not. Replace the pump if the impeller is stuck even without a single debris blocking it.

The drain hose is clogged/kinked if water does not gush out when drained manually by gravity into a basin or bucket. Blow air into the drain hose and you should determine if clogged or not. Also remove, check, and clear the tub-to-pump hose. It is the big black hose that connects the tub and the pump as the name suggests.

Check the resistance of the pump windings using a volt-ohmmeter. Dsiconnect the wire harness from the pump terminals then measure the resistance between the terminals with the volt-ohmmeter set to the lowest Ohm scale (R X 1). Nominal resistance of the pump winding is 10 ohms. Other than that, replace the pump.

Reconnect the wire harness if the resistance of the pump winding is good then recheck it at the wire harness connector in the central control unit (CCU). Replace the wire harness if there's any discrepancy in the resistance reading.

The last line of defense is the central control unit (CCU). It is apparent that the CCU is at fault if the drain pump winding and the wire harness are all good but the CCU fails to power up the pump. In this case, consider replacing the CCU.

What is code message F02?

Repairing the F02 error code can usually be done without ordering parts. Tools needed to repair your whirlpool Duet F02 error code are towels and a quarter inch socket.
Tip the washer back at a 45 degree angle. On the bottom panel there are three or four screws, with the screws removed the panel will slide down and off. With the lower access panel now removed you will have access to the washers drain pump clean out.
With the water already bailed from the washer you can twist the filter head counter-clockwise to remove. Twisting the filter head counter-clockwise will loosen filter so it can be pulled out.
With the filter out clean and install it back into washer.
Run a quick cycle to ensure the washer is back up and running and the F02 error has disappeared. If the error comes back, it may require you to clean the drain pump filter again.
If you require a new drain pump motor, you can purchase the part from the link below.

I have a kenmore elite HE3 washer. I was getting the sud error and then eventually F02. I cleaned out all the drain lines and pump filter trap and this did not help. I've now replaced the pump

I endevor to purchase a new unit. I've had the same electrical issue with the "F" variable coming up for EACH cycle. I've pressed the Pause/Cancel button and attempted to resume the cycle. While that did work, again, the "F" would come up and the cycle disrupted. I think I will end up paying quite a bit to have it serviced. My washer is 7 years old and I've had it serviced twice to date. I intend on purchasing new in the New Year, a Samsung or LG.

F02 Baumatic error not cleared Even when filter cleaned...?

Perhaps you need to check the outlet hose from the pump for a blockage, and of course, make sure the pump itself is working.

SUD message appears

My manual says that Sud means that you are using too much soap. The washer will say this mid cycle until it gets rid of the extra "suds" and should then resume the cycle. If it doesn't, then you have a different problem.

F02 Error Code & SUD message

Knowing from our washer, the SUD code is too much foam from the detergent. Since most soaps today are highly concentrated, or High Efficiency soap, try using less soap as a starter. :)

Kenmore Elite HE4t Washer

Error code F02 f the drain time exceeds 8 minutes, the water valves are turned off and F02 is flashed. Press PAUSE/CANCEL twice to clear the display. NOTE: After 4 minutes the ?Sud? error will be displayed, then 4 minutes later the F02 error code will be displayed. Potential Causes ? Check the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged or kinked ? Check the electrical connections at the pump and make sure the pump is running. ? Check the drain pump filter for foreign objects ? If the above does not correct the problem replace the pump
