Hi. I just got my Lifecam VX 1000 to use on Skype. I downloaded the software from microsoft, and it seemed to be working fine until the middle of my first skype call. I suddenly couldn't hear my friend, but she could still hear me. Is there likely a problem with my microphone, or hers? I did go into the options in Skype and changed the default mic to the lifecam (I guess it wasn't selected before). I haven't had a chance to test it since. Any advice? Thanks.

Before you go into Skype - unplug your webcam for a few seconds to reboot the software and only use the Skype software to launch your webcam

Any web cam should work with skype.
Please configure to use life cam as input for video signals by skype
Go to Skype> Tools> options> video settings
Please ensure no other application is using web-cam when using it on skype
