01- Remove the rubber cushion.
02- Remove the Turntable Platter
03- Place your drive belt around the ridge inside the platter
(Make sure that it is not twisted)
04-Place your Turntable Platter back on the unit
05-rotate your platter until you can see a brass knob through one of the round holes in the turntable. (Your belt must be placed around the brass knob) The best way is to take a toothpick and carefully slide it under the drive belt and then pull it out enough that you can place it around the knob. I had the same problem and the above works. If you still have problems getting it back on contact me 352-377-1828......

1) Remove the platter - just lift up
2) Underneath the platter, you'll see a small lip section
3) Wrap the belt around this lip
4) Put platter back on turntable
5) Rotate platter until you see the motor shaft through the holes on the platter - a brass round looking piece
6) Pinch the belt around the motor shaft.
7) That's it.

I have a Teac LP200 and the turntable will no longer turn when I lift and move the arm over. Is there a belt to replace? How does one access it?

Hi,
your unit has "The efficient belt-drive system provides accurate play and control" and normally the belt lasts for long time ..i.e at least 5 years..
If you sure that it is belt ,you need to take the turntable disc (should be a security pin in the middle ) than you can access underneath of disc or some models needs to access from bottom of the turntable ,inside the receiver..
just in case ,if you need detailed user manual in pdf format pls visit he URL below..
Hope this helps! Take care and please Remember to rate/vote and give me 4 Thumbs Up for me to continue for Helping out the Community :) Thanks

Turntable belt is off.

Under the felt of the turning platter section, there should be two rather large holes. Insert your thumb and forefinger and pull the table off. You should also see where the existing belt is running. Insert new belt around the motor first and replace the table section. Now, through the two holes, manouver the belt onto the table section until it spins freely

I have a new Yamaha RX-V365 receiver and an older technics turntable, regardless of input setup I cannot get any volume from the turntable, yet all other inputs like CD, Tuner are fine....amp issues in...

Some turn tables do not have a built in amp, especially the older ones, the sound goes from the needle to the output. If the amp your are using does not have a designated phono, turn table, input it may not have the turn table pre-amp built in. Some turn tables have to be grounded to the amp to work properly.

I'm guessing that the belt is too large (stretched). Normally it should be small enough to stay on the platter itself. Install the platter and place the belt around the motor hub (white plastic), If the belt is too loose, it will just sit and not turn the platter. Try a new belt first as that is the least expensive option to try.
