This is usually caused by a failed component in the power circuit within the camera and can be repaired fairly inexpensively. However, it’s not a user serviceable problem and will need to be repaired qualified service technician.
Hi Rick, Where eactly is the power circuit board and what could need replacing please? Thank you in advance. Jay
The power circuit is usually incorporayed within the main board these days, It;s usually a fuse or part of the voltage regulator circuit. Unless you're an experienced technician you should have the camera repaired for you.

Hi Rick, I am the one posted the fault and I sent my camera to Malaysia for repair, however I was surprised to know that it will cost me approx US$ 600.00 which is almost the price of the camera. Therefore I have rejected the repair. Can this be possible to cost that much to repair this problem?
Unfortunately, factory repair prices are extreme at best sometimes. They have a lot of overhead to pay for.

I have rejected to do the repair as it will be much better to buy a new one, eventhough I used me camera only on few occasions!
