Locked tv Hello my tv is locked and dont know what to do. The screen is all blue with a red key on the down left corner of the tv. None of the buttons work on tv or remote just the power button what should i do?

Read the suggestion about hitting the mute and the function key. The lettering on the keys is worn away, so I tried mute plus many of the keys. On mine, pressing the top right remote key + the mute key (mute was directly under the number 9 key) worked to return the picture.

If you have a blank screen with a red key on the bottom left, simply press the (function or F) button and the mute button at the same time. This will unlock the screen and allow you to view the channel as desired.
If your TV asks for a 4-digit code or password please enter 3308 or 6688 to unlock the screen or reset any preset rating levels.
If you have a GT2011J or GT2011S Television, hold the (Display) button for 10 seconds, it will unlock the screen. If password or code is requested, try 3308 or 6688.
Press the "Menu" button on the remote control and use the arrow buttons to scroll down to the "Parental Guide" option, then press the "Enter" button. Type in the default parental code "6688" if you have not set your own code. If you have set your own code, type it in. If you set your own code and forgot it, override it by using "6688." Use the arrow keys to switch the parental lock to "OFF." This allows all programs to be viewed no matter the rating. Press the "Exit" button on the remote and start watching all your channels
My Advent TV did the same thing. Blue Screen with a red lock in the upper left corner. Just press and hold the display button for about 10 seconds. It will clearn

bottom left hand corner. None of the buttons work except the on/off
button on the television.
The Tv's Child Lock has been activated...
Hold down the F button and press the MUTE button to unlock.
You can only remove the child lock using the remote.

Sorry but you're going to have to be a bit more specific than that.. What kind of Tv is it, what model number, is it the original remote, do you have an otherwise good pic and sound, do functions (vol, ch, power) on the Tv work???
