Dell Inspiron 6000 Laptop no wireless networks found in range

This laptop was working fine now it say there are no networks found using either a netgear router or a AT & T DSL wirless router. If you go to the wirless configuration in the control panel it says that the Dell Wireless WLAN card is disabled. Slide the wireless switch to enable it, their is not switch and it also says to press Fn-F2 to enable it. That doesn't seem to work either any ideas

Dell inspiron 6000 i cant get the red X off the wireless icon?

If you're using wireless internet and should be connected, you'll have to make sure that you're in range of the wireless network and have the proper network key if it's required.
If you're not using the wireless internet and just want the notification to go away, you can double click on the icon itself, and then select 'properties' in the next window that opens. Then just remove the checkmark next to 'notifiy me with this connection has limited or no connectivity'

Dell Inspiron 6000 won't connet wireless network after reinstall

check DEVICE MANAGER if the wireless card have the right driver installed. if you found that the wireless card have yellow exclamation point on the right it means, you installed a wrong driver.

check also in BIOS if the wireless card is enable and the switch is turn on.

press Fn+F2 to enable wireless radio/anthena (funtion key with wireless icon in blue color)

some dell laptop have hard switch located right side check this and turn the switch on.

if you want to see the icon n task bar, go to control panel....network connection...right click on wireless adapter...select properties...check Show on taskbar

Dell Inspiron 6000 with network card Intel/Pro Wireless 2200 BG

So u can connect to the router, but you arent allowet to access the internet?
The router gave your dell a new ip-number, but it dident gave you access to the net. You ned to do the settings in your router manual, let the router give your dell full access.

Good luck

Problems with Dell Inspiron 6000 Battery ? DELL Inspiron 6000 laptop battery is popular, why ?

You can also pick up the batteries less expensive than most computer places at batteries plus. And yes it sounds as though it is the batteries charge is getting low, especially if it runs fine when the battery is out and you have it plugged in.
