Cover won't close

I've had an Electrolux Harmony for 2 years. The last time I changed bags, the cover wouldn't close. Nothing looks broken or stuck. What should I do?

Try removing the bag and closing the cover. Unless that piece that holds the bag has gotten loose, there isn't anything that should prevent that cover from shutting, so it may just be the way the bag is sitting.

Electrolux el 7020 Canister Vacuum shuts of continuously do i need to Change the Carbon Brushes

How old? If fairly new you should not need brushes, bad brushes would probably not allow the vacuum to run at all. Last time you changed filter? Sounds like the cover to the filter is not closing well enough. There's also possibility you have a clog in the wand or hose.

Purchased 1 years ago at the home show in boston. roller will not turn. very, very loud and noisy.

The belt has probably broken and is flopping around inside. You can get a new belt at an Aerus Electrolux store (see below link). Order one if there's not one close.
The biggest problem is getting it put together correctly afterward. The screws need to be replaced in a certain order. Unfortunately, a service manual is not available.
Warranty. If you purchased it from an Aerus representative, there's a two year warranty on the vacuum. It does cover the belt. Just take your sales agreement ot the store and let them replace it. If you've taken the vacuum apart, however, the warranty is void.

I have same problem and I check it out.

The special requrement of Electrolux for his vacum cleaner motors is that they working with high reliably approx 800 hours working time and no more!!! (it should stop safe with no danger for users...)

7 years has past (2 h/week x 52 x 7 = 708 working hours) so it is time for us consumers to buy new vacum cleaner...

My seb0 automatic x1 roller have stopped working . there is nothing stuck in it . the suction part is working perfectly. can you help please?

Almost certainly you've got a broken drive belt. This machine has two toothed belts and it makes sense to change both while you're at it. Incidentally, this is a job you shouldn't have to do very often - Sebo belts usually last at least 10 years.
So, here's how to get at the belts and change them... NOTE - any use of the words LEFT and RIGHT assume that you are looking from the REAR of the machine.

STEP 1. Separate the base from the bag compartment: press the button at bottom front centre of bag compartment and lift bag compartment upwards away from base. Sometimes this is quite stiff and four hands would be useful, you can lever it from behind with something relatively soft (the plastic handle of a dishwash brush works well) but take care to lift vertically upwards, not sideways or you risk bending a metal lever that's hard to get back into shape again. Rest assured that once you've pressed that button there is nothing holding the two parts together other than friction!
STEP 2. Turn the base upside-down and undo the FOUR DEEPLY-RECESSED SCREWS. All the surface-mounted screws are irrelevant to this job.
STEP 3. Turn the complete base right-way up, release the foot pedal and move the vacuum tubes out of vertical. The top cover will then lift off. You will see there are two belts - the pulley device between the motor and the brush roller is the sensor that measures the drag on the brushes and operates the automatic height adjuster to maintain constant drag. To the right of that double pulley is the electronic circuit board - note that it has a sensor that locates within the pulley device, be careful not to damage it.
STEP 4. At the left end of the motor cover, the drive cog is concealed by a small cover. Lift this cover out vertically, noting how it locates in the frame for when you come to put it back. Next, although not essential, it helps to remove the metal lever because if it falls out when you're not looking you may later be uncertain about how to locate the small coil spring. So slide that lever out towards the motor, noting how the spring locates.
STEP 5. Undo the two screws holding the circuit board (take care the washers don't slip away). Then undo the four screws holding the double pulley. Once that's free, you'll be able to change the belts.
Re-assembly is simply the reverse of the above process.
If you need more help, just ask. Please remember to rate this response.

I have a Electrolux Epic 6500 SR canister vacum cleaner. It is nine years old and for the past few weeks it has started shutting off for no apparent reason. The symbol for bag change lights up and it cuts...

Your machine is probably clogged, look through the wands, look in the bottom attachment, to see if there is anything stuck there. You can also drop a marble through the hose itself to see if anything is stuck there as well. To unclog the hose try holding the attachment end of the hose were you would normally plug the hose in. ( the goal is to **** the clog out the way it came in).

Can't open my EPC 6500 Electrolux

What you do is open the bag cover, then lay the machine on its side. Wedge a flathead screwdriver in between the bumper and the rear plastic guide. With a mallet, strike the flathead towards the bag cover. (The front of the machine.) Until the guildes come off. After both sides are done, close the bag cover and roll the machine so it rests on its back. With 2 fingers inside of the opening where the cord comes out, pull up firmly with the other hand holding the machine in place. TA-DAH.

I wouldn't bypass the bag sensor if I were you. It's there for a reason. It sounds like your control valve is out. Change that and your problems are over. Quick and super simple fix.
