You can move your washer without your shipping pins. Those are for shipping long distances from where they are made!

If a front load washer is being shipped with only 3 shipping bolts ( from korea to USA),would the washer be OK or there could be possible damage to the drum/washer in anyway?

3 bolts will be ok, The drum cannot move and as long as the other 3 bolts are intact and not broken then there won't be any damage to the machine.

I recently moved and the movers removed two bolts from the back of the machine...should I replace those bolts

No do not replace the shipping bolts. I assume you have a front loading washer. The tub is secured by bolts during transport. Then they have to be removed so that the washer will operate properly without damaging the machine.

Many machine manuals are available online. For example, LG washers manuals are available at their site and under more information for models sold by Home Depot (http://www.homedepot.com/Appliances-Laundry-Clothing-Care-Washers-Front-Load-Washers/h_d1/N-5yc1vZ1xr5Zbv6h/h_d2/Navigation?langId=-1&storeId=10051&catalogId=10053&omni=c_Front%20Load%20Washers). The LG front loading washers use 4 bolts with retainers. If they are not removed, the machine will have severe vibration and noise. The vibration can damage the unit.

I hope this helps.

(if you have an top loading washer, shipping bolts are less common. If you provide the model of the washer, I'll see if it is one for which I know the shipping instructions.)

Shipping bolts were not left when machine set up. moving from virginia to Arizona. Where can I buy replacement shipping bolts

If you can remove the top cover, then all you need to do fit some polystyrene packing or the like inside the cabinet to stop the drum from moving about, and this should do the trick.

I have a LG WM0532HW. What are the drum bolt sizes thr.& length

Hello Jeff,

Unfortunately, these are specially made bolts that have threads only on the first section of the bolt, so they can secure the wash drum and not interfere with anything else. You also need the special sleeves for the bolts. I would not try to use standard bolts from a hardware store, as they could damage the wash drum if you overtightened them or they were too long. LG, and most washer manufacturers, don't publish the size, thread count and length of their transport (shipping) bolts, hence the reason they advise to keep them for future use.

So if you're only moving the washer down a set of stairs, you should be fine if you take it easy and either hand carry it with two (2) people, or use an appliance truck to move it down the stairs.

If, however, you're looking to move the washer any distance via truck, etc., you'll want the shipping transport bolts and sleeves to keep the drum and suspension system from getting damaged.

You're best bet is to get in touch with LG customer support and obtain a set of the transport bolts. You can reach them by callling them from 8AM to 8 PM toll free at 1-877 714-7486 and follow the prompts to reach customer support.

Here's a link to the owner's manual for your washer, just in case you've misplaced yours.

Lost or not retained shipping bolts

Just looked at mine (we had to order them before the military would move ours). They are two different sizes, have a long plastic washer (lengthwise), and are - believe it or not - like a lag bolt on the end! A hybrid mess meant to force us to order them, if you ask me. Not sure you should try rigging it, best if you order them, you'll see what I mean when you get them. Sorry, we were in the same boat too. Wish I never bought this LG, but that's for another post.

How do I make my WM 1832 CW washer ready to move?

It is best to re-install the four shipping bolts in the back of the machine during the move. If you don't have them, contact a dealer. Please don't rate, as anything but a Fix-Ya lowers my score. Thanks.
