I just bought a new desktop and monitor. The monitor i chose was the 22" Flatron LG. I hooked everything up, and when i boot up the computer, the monitor pops on for a second then says "Analaog power save mode" in a blue box then it goes to sleep. Any perticular reason why this may be occuring?
I had the same problem with the same screen as you.
i connected the usual blue plug on my pc, and i got the same message as you did.
i finally realised that i connected it on the on-board graphics card(VGA?)
i added a new plug(adaptor) and then connected it on my graphics card.
everything works now!
It's just tha we are all used to the shape/colour of the port on our PCs
Are you connect via Analog (Blue VGA connection) or DVI (White Digital connection?
If you are connected via DVI, then you have to change the input select button to DVI
If you are Connected VGA, make sure the system doesn't have 2 VGA ports. If it does, connect to the other port.

montor has power because we get a small window saying annalog power safe mode then it disappears and we have a black monitor and no where to go from there
I bought an LG FLATRON W2252TQ to view photographs. I am having a terrible time adjusting the color and the factory default settings make the faces in the pictures very red with bright highlights. Is there an adjustment to be made or is the monitor a lemon?
