Have a 200.13 paper jam error-check cartridge--??? no paper jam. I just put in new cartridge.

Paper pinch roller is having some problem may be there is a paper jam or Cartridge try to remove all papers then remove the ink cartridge pull out the power wait for some time ,put back the paper without ink and paper
check if the error is changed if yes replace your ink if still there check for any paper jam clean it all properly and start again.

Silly questions first: did you remove the seal before fitting the cartridge? Second, if you still have the original cartridge try swapping it for the new one and try again. It may be that the cartridge is faulty - it does happen.
The cartridge you have should have the number Q6511A or Q6511X, if it doesn't you may have been given the wrong cartridge. Another possibility is that you have paper caught in the duplexer tray. That is accessed by removing the paper tray 2 and dropping down a flap inside. remove anything still in there and restart the printer.

OK....try removing the carts, close the printer, turn off, then disconnect...alot of the problems with the newer HP printers has to do with their ROM memory....if that doesn't work, then there is defintely something in the paper path, no matter how small. Try to eliminate the copy function....does the error happen as soon as the printer is finished powering up??

ona brand new machine you get a starter cartridge, you will need to put in a new cartridge

You need to clean the drum surface as well the charger roller. Removing the paper jammed can caused the surface get the dirty by toner split.

Secondly, to run the software your printer has to be in service mode. Do that by
- unplug cable
- press and hold "power" button
- plug cable
- press "resume" and release
- release the "power" button
At this stage, your computer will detect a new hardware

Run the software.

try pressing repeatitivly the red cancel button

well it could be, but normally the material is always right, therefore it could happen to be really paper jamed that u can´t see.
