To some model sets; especially LED back-lighted types; the back-light inverter circuit will be part of the main power supply board [SMPS]. In such cases, the power supply board might need replacement. To some models sets, the back-light inverter and SMPS section circuit will be integrated at its main board itself. If so; the main board should be replaced. To some models of sets, all these section circuit will be integrated at its main board. If this is the case, you have to replace the main board.
If the buttons on the TV -and- the buttons on the remote don't work, then there's definitely something wonky with the TV.
The good news is that the power works and the picture looks good. That rules out a bunch of things. If you don't mind tinkering, replacing circuit boards on TVs is pretty straight-forward -- just take off the back, unscrew the offending board and replace it. Check the speakers first. If found OK, check and replace damaged component/s at it audio output circuit board, or replace the audio output circuit board as card basis.
Hi: On most televisions you can not just replace the HDMI input terminal you will have to replace the entire video/audio input board assembly. I have tried to look up the board but this part is part of the Main Tuner unit and is only avaiable if you replace the entire main Tuner/CBA.
could be the flyback you can take it out and ring it but first!! check the 1uf capacitor in the startup stage of the power supply and the diode next to it
Basically when it turn itself OFF automatically all the time, the TV goes into "Protection Mode". This happens when there is a damaged circuit board inside the need to be replace and turn itself OFF to protect the other ones from being damaged.
A TV service tech will have to look at it to find out which boards need to be replace. There are about 7 different boards in your TV that would cause this problem.
TV's have a circuit in them that monitors the high-voltage and shuts
the set down if it senses something amiss. On a projection type
set, figure on just replacing the entire board that has the flyback
transformer on it.
