Hi My sony cybershot got wet but I dry it right away and remove battery. Can it be fixed? Model DSC-W55

I have a cybershot DSC W55. When the power button is switched on the lens extends and the "access" message shown on screen. Also amber light is flashing above screen. After a few seconds I get a message to power on and off again. I\'ve tried switching on and off a few times, removing battery pack and memory card, but nothing seems to be solving the problem.

GO TO SETUP MENU, SELECT THE TOOLBOX ICON 1 AND SELECT INITIALIZE CLICK OK.

if you have guarantee change the lcd screen .. it is quite easier.. but the cost for changing is nearly 3/4 of the camera so better buy a new camera..

please formate your memory stick if the problum not remove change the memory stick

Try reformatting your memory card.

screen strip broken or change LCD cost 100$

the part which comes out when the power is on might have got stuck .. there may be some dust particles. just blow over it or vaccum it..

its sad but the dscw55 does not have panorama effect.
