How do i get the pictures off my gogear?

I "syncd" my philips go gear for the first time last night and not only did it add my music but it added pictures from "My Pictures" as well. 1) How do I get these off the device and 2) How do I make sure they are not added again when I sync more music onto it?

Connect the device to the PC.

Open My Computer. The GoGear should show as a drive.

Double-click on GoGear, navigate to the Pictures folder and delete the files manually.

To prevent this happening again, go into the Windows Media Player settings, and select manual sync. This varies with different versions of Media Player.

My GoGear MP3 from Philips is frozen on Ok To Disconnect.

You will need to grab the updated version of the Philips Device Manager from Philips website and update the firmware to resolve your issue.

I can't add music to my gogear

Plug in the Philips GoGear to your computer. Use aUSB cable to make the connection so you can begin synchronizing yourmusic collection.

Step2 Start Windows Mediamag-glass_10x10.gifPlayer. Depending on how your computer is set up, this program maystart automatically when you make the connection with the MP3 player.

Step3Find the Sync tab in the media player window. Click on this tab andopen the Sync screen. The Sync screen has two panes. The left pane isfor the music collection on your computer; the right pane is for thePhilips GoGear.

Step4Choose the songs from your collection that you want to add to theGoGear’s memory. Check the boxes that are presented by each song title.

Step5 Click the "Start Sync" button. The files from your computer are being copied onto your GoGear MP3 player.

Step6 Wait for the sync to complete. You can monitor the progress in the "Windows Media Player" window.

Step7 Close the media player program. Unplug your Philips GoGear from the computer.

MY philips go gear 2gb music player does not getting on.

Run a Repair in Philips Device Manager - the program came on the installation CD.

If that fails the first time: Unplug the GoGear from the PC. Uninstall all Philips software in the Add/Remove Programs section of Control Panel. Restart your computer and reinstall the software. Replug the GoGear. Re-run the Repair.

Good luck!

I don' t know how to insert pictures in Philips GoGear HDD1830 MP3 Player

You must install the CD that came with the player. It contains a critical plug-in that is necessary for picture viewing.

Videos and Pictures in the Music category

NOTE: you only have to follow the process for ending automatic synchronization - repair is optional.

When you first synced your GoGear to Windows Media Player, you may have set up the automatic sync option. When this option is selected,Windows Media Player will add EVERY song, picture, etc from your Library on your computer to the GoGear. Now, every time you sync you device, it adds every new file from your computer into the GoGear automatically.

Here's what you want to do (this process assumes you have Windows Media Plaer 11 and windows XP - if you have another version, just let me know and I will give you modified instructions - reply to the FixYa website, not to my personal e-mail address):
1) Backup all files stored on your GoGear, as this process will delete all files from your GoGear
2) Go into Windows Media Player 11 with your GoGear connected to the computer (it will automatically sync and add new files one last time), move the mouse cursor over to the sync tab; a small black arrow will appear under the word "Sync"; click on the small black arrow and a dropdown menu will appear; select "Portbale media device" from the dropdown menu, and another dropdown menu will appear; select "Set Up sync"; a window will appear with some information on your device - uncheck the box that says "Sync this device automatically"; click Finish; This will eliminate the problem of Windows always adding songs/files you don't want into your player
3) As long as the GoGear now says, "OK to disconnect from PC," then open up Philips Device Manager (Start --> All Programs --> Philips)
4) Click on the Repair Tab, and look for a msg that says connect the player while holding the volume + button
5) Disconnect the GoGear from the computer and turn the GoGear off - hold in the volume + button and continue to hold it as you reconnect the GoGear to the computer; after holding the volume + button for up to 20 or 30 seconds, a window will open up saying that your device is being repaired (now you can let go of the volume + button); after the repair is succesfully complete, your GoGear will be good as new
6) you will have to re-add all your files (only the ones you want in there) to the GoGear as the Repair process has deleted all files on the device; as long as you followed the process in Step 2 above, then Windows Media Player will no longer add the files you DON'T want to the GoGear
