Check air flow error message appears if the vent at the back of the set is clogged. It is the primary inlet for air that is required to cool the set. You may want to verify that its not clogged. If you can't find it, then unplug it, remove the back cover and blow a can of compressed air at the cover. If the fault was indeed correctly detected, your set should work when the vent is unclogged.

Could be the fan. It will cool tv but could also be to much for tv to handle.
You can also try reseating the lamp. It may say ok but be wrong.

Keeps shutting down and takes several trys to start again only to shut down later

If the computer is overheating it will shut down to save the hardware from heat damage, the temp is pre set. It may get hot, due to air flow in a minute or and hour. What does the "screen comes up says problem " say? Check the fan and vents for dust and clean, improve air flow around bottom vents and side vents. Perhaps a Laptop Cooler? When the computer shuts down unepectedly, the computer see it as a crash and will load in that option screen. Run a 'Check Disk" on the OS drive buy opening computer in start menu, right click the drive with the OS (C), open properties, Tools, Check now, choose all options, follow instructions, reboot.

Troubleshooting advice above link.
Sometimes it is the head gasket, check, it can be, incorrect fuel mixture, far too lean, exhaust should be a light grey color. Check enough oil in sump. ensure free flow of air all around machine.

I have a Mitsubishi DLP 1080p TV with air flow problems

Hello ags98,

First I would suggest that you re-seat the bulb and then check the cooling fan, and air flow path. In addition to checking the fan make sure all air flow ingress and egress vent are unobstructed.

I hope this helps

Thank you,

Mitsubushi 1080 HDTV has an air flow block

There is a fan in the back. Make sure that the fan is spinning and that the grille is clean. It is possible that the sensor is bad too.
