Sanyo 42 When I turn on my Sanyo 42" Plasma TV, the screen turns on and off(the audio continues uninterrupted) and the screen doesn't show thepicture -- it shows "snow" in color (white, blue, red, green, yellowetc). When i got the tv, there was no picture at all. I changed thex-main board after I found a transistor on it that wasn't working andthe Drive YB(UP) board that looked damaged. These fixes got me towhere I am now -- with the screen turning on and off. I changedthe main signal board (the same board that you plug all of your videoand audio connections - PWB MAIN J3TR), but it didn't fix the problem. There's an error light blinking on the PDP board (the LED 2000 light)and the error light on the Power Supply board is also on (solid, notblinking). I think the problem is probably in the PDP board butreally I don't have enough experience to be sure if it is the PDP. This is a hobby for me. I've fixed a lot of older tv's, but this is myfirst plasma

Hi again,

Sorry bout the Live Session.

May I suggest something?
Pls try another signal source other than the indoor antenna such as a DVD or even an old VCR.

It is possible that what you are experiencing is video muting due to dirty antenna signal. If even with a stable known to be good video source (DVD) the problem persist, then it is a matter of checking the voltages as indicated in your service manual.

Hope this be of some help/idea even if the chat did not work out. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa.
