How to reset lamp hours on a sony XGA VPL-PX41

1,Connect the power cord
2,The On/Standy light is red.
3,Press the following keys on the Remote Commander or on the projector in the following order for less than 5 seconds :Reset,left,right,enter.

Make sure that the projector is in standby mode and perform the following:

Press the following keys on the control panel in the following sequence for less than 5 seconds each: RESET, , ENTER

In english: RESET
LEFT ARROW
RIGHT ARROW
ENTER

Please note that this sequence is documented on page 43 of the user manual under changing the lamp.

Either lamp is dead/ broken in projector or lamp cover is not fixed properly (its located at bottom side)
Please check lamp and replace it if its broken and make sure lamp cover is fixed back on its location securely after lamp replacement/ checking.

hi yes, all you have to do is press, reset, then left arrow, then right arrow, then enter..that should reset the message for you do not press each button in sequence for more than 5 seconds, hope this helps

Hi,
After replacing lamp, connect projector AC power cord and turn the projector in standby mode.

Press following keys on control panel for less then 5 seconds each..
RESET, <==, ==>, ENTER.
That will reset lamp timer in projector.

hi have vpl-es3 i changed the lamp but i have massege replace the lamp

Very complex repair, the devices are attached in a clean room and aligned. not a field repair
