This means that the camera recognizes it has been connected to a computer. You can now download pictures from the camera. Just do it from the computer, not the camera.

How do i get the MSDC off of the screen of my camera so i can take pictures

MSDC means Mass Storage Device Class, when MSDC on LCD
it indicates you are in USB mode. Have you recently connected your device to your computer by way of a USB? If you have did you click
on the safely remove hardware button on your task bar before removing it? Have you clicked on the menu button on your camera
to check if the MSDC is listed in your device option?

I just bought the camera and am trying to charge it. I am not getting an LED light but instead a blue screen that says "MSDC" in white letters. I have checked the battery and storage disk...

Are you charging it by plugging it into a computer? The "MSDC" you see usually means "Mass Storage Device Class", which basically means the computer is using the storage on the camera as a removable drive. This would usually happen when plugging a camera into the computer via USB. There is usually an AC adapter that comes with a camera, or a separate charger for just the battery. If there was no charger that came with it, the camera is probably still charging. If the camera is on, try turning it off and plugging it in. Remember, even if it shows "MSDC", it is probably still charging. Hope this helps!
