My wifi network is on but my itouch isnt seeing it why is that

Turn on your Itouch, then touch "Settings", you will see "Wifi"...find the wifi that you want to connect to and touch it to activate the wifi.

Click on the "Settings" app. You'll see a "Wi-Fi" setting at the top, make sure it's turned on.

You'll need to be near a WiFi network. If you don't have one in your home, you'll need to get a router with WiFi. If you just want to test your iPod Touch with WiFi, go to some heavily populated area, it's likely that someone will have a WiFi network that doesn't require a password. Apartment complex parking lots are good places to try this.

can't connect my I touch to internet

the storm could have temporarily affected your wifi at home. wait untill another day then try again to see if the problem clears up.

Go into your itouch in settings and wifi.
make sure your wifi switch is on
see if your wireless network is showing and choose it.
enter your wep key and it should connect.
if your ipod is not seeing your network click other
enter the name of your network and the wep key from the bottom of the router and
see if it joins.

go to Settings and then General
you will see the wifi network there.
It sounds like your connecting to a secure network and possible not being given an option to enter the network key.
Enter your network key and see if you get into the wifi

When your itouch detects a wireless network it should automatically attempt to connect., check your settings to make sure it is free to connect.

I finally discovered the problem. I have a Linksys wireless
router, so when I tried to log on with my iTouch, I got the
message "Unable to join network "my network name" when
I typed in my password. One day, after many trys, I tried
typing in the network security key for my router, and Voila,
it worked. For some unknown reason (to me), the iTouch
recognizes the the network security key as the password.

Hit "Forget this Network", go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network. Worked for me.

Okay... Its really simple. This worked for me. Click on "Forget this Network." Then go back to "Choose Network" and manually type in the network name (with caps if necessary) and type in your WEP Password. It should give you an new IP address, as well as the Subnet Mask, Router Name, and DNS Address...
