Reboot can mean it that some program freezes and only chance is rebooting. i can´t help you with the wallpaper, but you can try to reset your phone (factory reset) - it could help.

i have the same problem, but it isn´t always. especially when the battery is very empty. reason could be on the charger, it could be weaken and new charger should help.

no no.. if its in ur p.c. then it';; show u jus lyk a pic but put in in ur cell and it'll b animated... but it takes some tym to show ur animation.. try pics and other cell relatd stuffs in mobile9.com
Don't like to disappoint you but there are so many possibilities for failure after being dropped, I don't think anyone here can help you without having your unit in hand for inspection.
One thing you might consider doing yourself:
You apparently have another computer available.
If it is a desktop, (locate one in any case), follow the cable from the monitor to the system box backside.
Not the cable that goes to the wall or powerstrip, the one that attaches to the system.
Detach the cable from the desktop's system box (should be two thumbscrews) and find the mating connector on your laptop.
Be gentle - the pins are fragile.
Turn your laptop on and watch the desktop's screen for signs of life.
If you see anything recognizable (text, wallpaper, etc.) then your laptop has survived up to the screen section.
Ths means you could at least retrieve data from it so as not to lose your work.
I don't recommend trying to peer inside your laptop, the cases don't always come apart easy and you may not know what you are looking at even if opened.
Laptop repairs are not cheap or always lasting so you might consider getting your docs off of the machine or just buy a cheap monitor and make your laptop - a desktop.
if u will remove ur memory card the problem will always rise u must
simply copy ur wallpaper, ur ringtone, ur themes to phone memory
and then remove memory card then set ur wallpaper, ur ringtone, ur
theme. switch it of then insert memory card and then turn it on u will
find that they are not reseted again. and please rate this solution.
