Hi,
Security key in side the router. To get the key you need to access the routers web interface. Please follow the steps below on a wired pc. A pc which is directly connected with the netgear router using an Ethernet cable.
1. Open internet explorer and in the address box type http://192.168.0.1 and press enter. It should ask you a user name and password. User name is admin and password is the word password. click on login or ok.
If you don’t get user name and password window with http://192.168.0.1 and try http://192.168.1.1 or http://routerlogin.net
2. Click on wireless settings on the left hand side.
3. Under the security section if the security is wep then note down the key one and this is the security key you need.
If the security is something else then you wont be able to see the security key it will ******. In this i'll suggest you to change the security key to wep, encryption should be 64 bit and authentication type should be open. In the security key one box you need to type in the security key, The lenght of the key should be 10, you can only use a-f and 0-9. For example 123abc567f. and save the settings.
Try connecting on the wireless pc.
Note: if you change the security key then you need to connect all the wireless devices with the new key.
Hope this helps you!
Rashish.

Paul.
Can you connect to the router via ethernet?
If so assuming you havent changed the routers address connecting to 192.168.0.1 from your web browser should get you into your routers admin page.
Once you have entered the user name and password click the Wireless link from teh main menu where you will be able to see the relevent key and or change it if required.
If you need the manuals you can download from here.

Hi, you need to connect to the routers admin pages to configure the wireless settings and security. Check out this page:-
http://kbserver.netgear.com/kb_web_files/n101676.asp
When you get to step 6, click the WPA-PSK security setting and it will give you a box to type in a password of your choice, make it memorable but difficult to guess, so a mixture of numbers and letters. I think its a min of 8 characters.
Hope this helps..

It seems that the wireless adapter on XP does not support WPA2 Security. Please enable WPA-PSK on the router and check if you are able to connect to the wireless network on the XP computer.

4. Click on Wireless Settings (under Setup) from the left menu.
5. Select security options as WPA-PSK. Enter a Password in the passphrase box. Apply the settings.
Configure XP computer:

2. Go to Services then go to Service and Applications.
3. Double click on Wireless Zero Configuration.
4. Change the Start Up Type to Automatic and click on Apply.
5. Click on Start and press OK to close the window.

Log into your router ( default log in details can be found by googling your make) if you have changed the log in details, you may need to reset the router to factory default ( again, google this for a how to)
Go to wireless settings and then security ( or the other way around depending on your model) and your key will be there
