This is the second time in 8 months that my phone's motherboard has stopped working. the screen goes black, the keys light up and the phone won't shut off until the battery is popped out. I've already had it fixed once, should I get it fixed again? will this keep reoccurring? should I invest in a new phone?

I just had the same thing happen with this phone. I had it sent in to be fixed. I was a bit upset when the store clerk tried to tell me that I had dropped my phone !! I am a bit upset also to see that even though you had it fixed it is recurring !

Monitor won't turn on after a few hours of being shut off

If it EVER works, then the problem is not a failed part, but a weak part. The most likely component type to give you such problems are capacitors. But very few repair techs know how to find such problems, and even fewer have the equipment needed to find the bad one(s) in-circuit. The failure mode is high ESR (ESR means Equivalent Series Resistance). The lower the ESR, the better. Capacitors with high ESR cannot stabilize circuits which demand high pulse currents, such as in switch mode power supplies.

Mercury mother bord not loding satup manu with all f key and 'del' stop in start screen

1) Look at the bottom of the Mercury logo screen when it comes up.

2) Memorize or write down the -> enter BIOS Setup, or enter CMOS Setup key.

3) Restart the computer.

Let it go to Windows, then Start > Turn Off Computer > Restart.

Won't go to Windows? Hold down the CTRL and ALT and DELete keys AT THE SAME TIME. This will restart your computer.

AS SOON AS the monitor screen goes blank, (Windows is restarting), tap on the enter BIOS Setup key repeatedly.
Tap in 2 second intervals.

Hear a series of beeps? They are Stuck Key Error Code beeps, and you are causing them. Ignore the beeps.

Computer is off?

AS SOON AS you press the Power On button, start tapping on the enter BIOS Setup (CMOS Setup) key.

The enter BIOS Setup window goes by F-A-S-T. The above method/s will get you into BIOS Setup.

Hi, my lg shine ke970 phone isnt working. I've had it for only 5 months and already the screen has stopped working. The lights on the keys and stuff come on but the screen just stays blank. This has...

Hi
All you need to do is to put off your phone, remove the battery and sim card then loose the phone with a phone screw driver, insert a plastic tool to seperate the screen from the motherboard, remove the old screen,be careful not to scratch or smudge the new screen.

Then place the replacement screen back into the motherboard, then fix the front cover and couple back the phone.

Enjoy your newly repaired screen.
BEST OF LUCK

The screen is showing clean unable 46. What do I need to do?

All you need to do is to reset the purge counter. These steps worked in MFC620CN/420CN/410CN/210C/240C and FAX2440C model.
To reset purge counter
1) Enter machine maintenance mode (on MFC240C all four photo/copy/fax/scan lights flash in maintenance mode). Care is needed in maintenance mode, otherwise critical settings may be inadvertently corrupted.
FAX models with numerical keypads: Press the Menu/Set, *, 2, 8, 6 and 4 keys within two seconds. (if you fail to complete the correct key sequence within two seconds, press the Stop key to try again).
Other (non-FAX) models: Press the Menu/Set and Black Start keys. Next press the “up arrow” key four times to enter the maintenance mode).

2) Press the 8 then 0 keys in the initial stage of the maintenance mode to call up the machine’s log information list (function code 80).

3) Press the Black Start key several times to scroll through the log information list to reach the purge counter. The purge counter is the 25th item in the list.

4) Press the 2, 7, 8, and 3 keys in this order to reset the purge count to zero.

5) Press the Stop/Exit key to return to the initial stage of the maintenance mode.

6) Press the 9 key twice to return to the standby state.
