If there's data (items) on your TomTom that you can remove/delete, like music, photo's, images, (useless/not needed) maps, favorites, etc. it will give you more "disk" space to work with.
You can back up the data (using the TomTom HOME application) before you remove the items from your device.
This sounds like a more advanced mapping error in itself. It could be possible the mapping data is incorrect, or has been corrected, but not yet incorporated within new map updates. You've taken all the right steps to correct it on your own so your next best bet is to verify the inaccuracy with TomTom. Perhaps borrow a friend's TomTom and if their street names are accurate, your device might simply be defective, in which case you can request a new unit.
