If that line is permanently on the screen  - even when you are using the AV signal then the LCD panel is busted, no way to repair it. Try getting it replaced under warranty, it shouldn't have failed so soon

vertical output ic needs to be resoldered. careful leaving that bright line displayed on the screen as this will cause a permanent phosphor burn into the tube. this can not be corrected once burned unless you replace the tube. mch

Try Reseting It Unplug It For 30 Seconds And Then Release And Plug It Back In Once You Go To Turn It On Hold The On/off For 10 Seconds and Then Release. This Will Hopefully Restore The Factory Setting And You Can Determine If Its A User Setting Or Hardware Problem.

Yes you could look for the capacitor that is leaky, probably in the 200v line, or you could just open back and turn up G2 screen control on the Flyback. You have Screen and Focus on this black transformer with a long anode lead going to the picture tube of set. Becareful, High Voltage!

do you see a horizantal line across the screen before the set goes off. if you do, you have a problem with the virtical ic. it has to be changed. let me know if you see the line across the screen and I will show you what to do
