Uninstalling won't help there mate. I'm in the same boot too. Installed AT3 the game runs okay for a few minutes but then it crashes and then say's AT3.exe has stopped working. That's without the patch, with the patch I just get that error "1628 Failed to complete installation" My computer is running on Windows XP Home Edition 32bit with 2gigs of RAM and Nvidia GeForce EN8800 GT graphics card. The game should run fine on XP but it's giving me trouble and it's annoying. All the solution's I've found on the net don't help. Seems everyone who has the game is suffering with the same problem as us.

Try uninstalling the game and reinstalling it, then applying the patch. see if that fixes the problem.
