I have imate pda2k. The mobile repairer told me that your mobile strip or display is damaged. However, these parts are not available anywhere. How do and where do I get them? I reside in mumbai. I was told by kaizer, the service center of imate located at CST.

If your mobile is under warranty period then please take to service center and thy will service and give for free..
If it is not available and you need to repair with your own, then follow these steps..
First unscrew the mobile and see whether the strip connected to your mobile and to your display is not damaged.. Also check it out if there is any loose contact of that particular part..
If problem still persists then your internal screen is damaged..
You need to change the display screen on the whole..

just download ActiveSync 4.5 from Microsoft download website. this software comes with all the USB drivers you will need to connect ans sync you PDA to your PC computer.

Yes it's possible but not as an mp3 file. I have found that you have to convert the mp3 to a wav file. I do this using Fission on my Mac but I'm sure there's a pc equivalent. When you send the wav file to the pda2k it will say it doesn't recognise the file. You need to 'send it anyway'.
When you have it on your phone - there is an option under settings to 'add ringtone'. Once you have done this, the tone/song you are adding will be available for use AS a ringtone.

The pda2k will play mp3 just fine with windows media player but cannot use these as a ringtone unless you convert them.

Have you tried the folowing:
Go to start, select setting, and select system st the bottom, and select Backlight. In backlight you will fid different options at the bottom, select brightness and you can set your brightness levels on your battery mains aor power mains. I suggest you keep it low as it saves battery enegy.
